Imperial Beach, known as IB by the locals, is the most South West city in the United States. Imperial Beach has much to offer in every aspect you could imagine. It is very close to Tijuana and all the major freeways leading away from San Diego. If you ever get the itch to travel, it's just outside your door. Located just a few miles South of Downtown, Imperial Beach is one of the oldest and famous beaches in San Diego.
Many locals consider Imperial Beach a surf town because it has miles of beautiful beaches that offer excellent waves for surfing, body boarding, or just playing around in. Of course, there is much more to Imperial Beach than that. Recently, Imperial Beach has adopted many different beautification ordinances and it is becoming a great location for eco-tourists and nature lovers. There is a famous wildlife refuge and many wetland areas that are frequented by migrating birds and every spring you can even see grey whales on their migration route at sea. The famous wooden pier attracts many people each day for a nice leisurely stroll out over the ocean.
The property range in Imperial Beach is vast and will cater to any type of potential property owner. The wonderful location is great for a permanent or vacation home and the opportunities for investment properties are enormous. There is a steady flow of tourists all year long but due to excellent city planning, the traffic is very minimal. With Tijuana so close, people of many cultures can enjoy what Imperial Beach has to offer. You can drive or take the trolley right into Tijuana to spend the day. There are many different and unique shops that line the beach and shopping areas and if you want to go downtown it's a very short drive on the freeway.
