Oceanside is located 35 miles North of San Diego and just 80 miles South of Los Angeles. It is 3rd in population out of all the San Diego cities. Oceanside is home to beautiful beaches, numerous parks, and has many different types of community events regularly. Oceanside has a very rich culture and many houses have been designated as historical structures.
There are vast amounts of property available in Oceanside. There are many distinct neighborhoods and suburbs that you might choose to call home. The landscape varies in Oceanside so whether you want a house on the cliffs or hills, or would like to live in a well maintained planned community, you have many options available. A great thing about Oceanside is that even though it is highly populated, there is still a very close sense of community in each different suburb and neighborhood. Being so close to the Pacific Ocean, Oceanside has the benefits of mild weather all year long as well.
There is no shortage of recreation in Oceanside. One of the most famous attractions is the fishing pier. This provides hours of entertainment for the avid fisherman. There are also over 30 parks, a marina, and 2 public swimming pools. Well known to surfers is the California Surf Museum which is located in downtown Oceanside. You can enjoy Harbor Days every September where you can experience a street-fair like atmosphere with food, locally made goods, and artwork.
Whether you are looking for a permanent home or a great vacation house, Oceanside is a beautiful city and will allow you a fast and easy commute to downtown San Diego or Los Angeles. With it's amazing views and different types of land, Oceanside is a great place to call home.
