Solana Beach Real Estate
Solana Beach is a small beach community that covers just 4 square miles. This very upscale community is located just North of Del Mar and South of Encinitas. The property in this area is quite expensive as it is a very desirable location and the property value increases every year. This is due to the location and the overall feeling of the neighborhoods.
There are two very distinct community centers in Solana Beach. There is Fletcher Cove and La Colonia. Both of these centers offer a wide variety of meeting places and have some adult education classes available. Education is important to the residents of Solana Beach and to accommodate everyone, there are five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. These are just the public schools however. There are many top notch private institutions that cater to any needs you may have for your children. UCSD is not too far away and there are many community colleges in the immediate area that can be reached via car or bus.
Solana Beach has a wide variety of activities. Like any beach community, there is a wonderful beach for swimming, surfing, barbecues, and water sports of every kind. Golf courses such as Torrey Pines are very close and there are numerous parks as well. Having a great location, Solana Beach is very close to all parts of San Diego and a short drive from southern Los Angeles as well.
Famous San Diego and Los Angeles attractions can be enjoyed due to their relatively close proximity. It is less than an hour drive to visit Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park, Legoland and many water parks. It might take a bit longer to get to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, or the famous Hollywood area but none of these would be considered a road trip as they are less than one and a half hours away.
The weather in Solana Beach is typical San Diego weather which is nothing short of perfect. The daily low temperature rarely drops below 60 degrees and the daily high temperature rarely gets higher than 80 degrees. This perfect weather draws many visitors and residents to San Diego every day. Solana Beach is a very attractive and secure location with a low crime rate and these factors help contribute to why it is a very desirable place to own a home.
Solana Beach is located within the county of San Diego, approximately 25 minutes drive to Downtown San Diego.
